Run the Rock rocked at Run Albion 2020.

June 2, 2020

With a cause very near and dear to us, Caster Concepts chose to move forward with holding an in-person/virtual Run Albion event. It was our first run in a series of three, and its called Run the Rock.  All necessary precautions were put in place to keep participants safe. The people who chose to participate in person all shared that they were happy to have a little bit of normalcy return to their lives and thanked the Run Albion team for hosting the event in person. There was certainly a different feeling at the start/finish line. But overall, the mood was positive, optimistic, and grateful.

In addition to the many in-person participants, we had dozens of individuals who participated virtually. Some had registered for the virtual race before the stay-at-home order and others who chose the virtual experience in lieu of the in-person event.

Besides the positive impact that the race had on those who participated, there is also a significant impact that Run Albion has on the community. For the second year in a row, Run Albion will be able to contribute a substantial donation to local BSA Troop #158 because of the people who choose to participate in our events.

Looking ahead, the History Hustle and the Forks 5K are already generating a lot of interest. Now that we’ve proved that we can manage a race during uncertain times, we believe the History Hustle and the Forks 5k will be just as successful, if not more. There are already many individuals signed up for both of the two remaining races. What a great way for the community to come together!
