Adding a Coke — and a smile– to downtown Albion.

August 10, 2021

You might be familiar with the old coke tagline “A Coke and a smile.”

It’s hard not to smile when you see the iconic Coca-Cola mural restored to its original beauty. Many helpful hands were involved in ensuring this project’s success. Such as its funding through the Patronicity Matching Grant led by Janet Domingo and Linda Jansen Kolmodin.

In addition, The Coca-Cola Corp. donated $7,500 to the Albion Community Foundation. This sum was then matched by the Lansing Great Lakes Bottling Co. for a sum of $15,000. All proceeds went toward the “Restore Our Coke Sign: Bring Art and History Downtown” fundraising campaign.

The mural overlooks the Kalamazoo River and dates back to 1922. It is believed to be one of the largest painted by the company. Come to Albion and have a look at the piece of advertising art reborn by Building Arts & Conservation

Caster Cares is honored to bring the transformation to you with a little help from BrickStreet Marketing.
